Polo’s Critique from the Bulgarian Klubsieger Show September 20, 2014

V3 Open class at Bulgarian Klubsieger show ( ADRK H.Weiler ). Very large, strong bone and head, very good stop, muzzle & cheeks, strong muscles.  Dark mouth pigment and lips, dark eyes.  Loose skin on neck, excellent chest proportion and angulation, strong back, tail correct.  Very good coat and markings, free and far-reaching gait.

Polo is a spectacular representative of the Rottweiler breed and of the type of Rottweiler that I want to have for Stalter Rottweiler’s. Polo is a Champion of his home country of Serbia and an IPO I with scores of 90 in tracking, 82 in obedience, and 90 in protection.

RKNA Inc. Ch., Serbian Ch. POLO VON HAUSE KIGEN, IPO I, BH, ADRK BSE, SE, HD & ED Free Height: 65cm Weight: 55kg Eyes: Black 1B  Black mouth pigment 4 X CACIB, 3 X CAC, Multiple V1, Multiple B.I.S. and Multiple BOB. IPO I Score 90-82-90 ”a” DOB: July 14, 2012

Polo has earned his 4 CACIB Certificates under 4 different Judges in 2 different countries in less than a year. So Polo only needs to win 1 more CACIB certificate to have earned the title “International Champion”!

Here are the FCI rules on being an International Champion on page 4 of the FCI REGULATIONS FOR THE FCI INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

To be eligible for the title of C.I.B. (Champion of International Beauty), these dogs have to meet the following requirements:

  • Have earned, in 3 different countries, under 3 different judges, 4 CACIB (Certificat d’Aptitude au Championnat International de Beauté) no matter the number of competing dogs;
  • Between the first and last CACIB, a minimum period of one year and one day must have elapsed. This period is to be understood as follows: for example, from January 1st, 2011 to January 1st, 2012.

But more importantly, Polo is the overall type of Rottweiler that I want to have at my home, interacting with my family and friends. He is loving and sweet to me and my family and accepting of my friends who come to my home, yet he is protective of what is his with strangers.

I retired from the Illinois Department of Corrections early due to my wife’s losing battle with breast cancer. I also went into teaching special ed students who were juvenile delinquents. So I have dealt with the criminal element of society for almost 30 years.

I believe a Rottweiler should have a clear head and a sound, healthy body, and that is what Polo has. A show career can be 3 or 4 years, but the Rottweiler will live for 10 or 12 years; so I believe I must breed a Rottweiler that can be a member of the family for life. RKNA Inc. Ch., Serbian Ch. POLO VON HAUSE KIGEN, IPO I, BH, ADRK BSE, SE, HD & ED Free exemplifies the type of Rottweiler I have bred and want to continue to breed, too.

Stalter Rottweilers guarantees its puppies to not die from a heart attack or cancer for 5 years, and to pass the OFA with Fair hips or better, and that if you are not happy with your Stalter Rottweilers puppy for any reason up to 24 months of age simply return it for another pup.  Stalter Rottweilers also offers a 100% price refund for AKC Titles, 1/3 for an AKC Championship, one 1/3 for an AKC CD, and 1/3 for an AKC CDX. Find someone who stands behind their puppies better than we do.  This also goes for the stud fee pups out of Polo, contact me for more details.

Polo’s ancestral line comes straight from ES’77, Int. Ch Ives Eulenspiegel, 9 generations of father to son.  Polo’s ancestral line includes the top producers of the Rottweiler Breed that have the same Y chromosome in all 9 generations.

The Y chromosome is one of two sex chromosomes in mammals. The Y chromosome is the sex-determining chromosome since it is the presence or absence of Y that determines the male or female sex of offspring produced. The Y chromosome is passed only from father to son.

The Y chromosome is what makes males male. The Y chromosome is one of two sex chromosomes in mammals, including humans, and many other animals. The other is the X chromosome. Y is the sex-determining chromosome in most animals since it is the presence or absence of Y that determines the male or female sex of offspring produced in sexual reproduction. The Y chromosome is passed only from father to son.

The Y Chromosome is part of the 23rd pair of human chromosomes, dogs have 39. Only males have a Y chromosome, because women have 2 X chromosomes in their 23rd pair for humans and 39 pair for dogs.  A man’s patrilineal ancestry, or male-line ancestry, can be traced using the DNA on his Y chromosome (Y-DNA), because the majority of the Y-chromosome is transmitted father to son nearly unchanged.

So Polo’s Y chromosome is basically the same as all of his male ancestors such as the famous males I mentioned.  For something so tiny, the Y chromosome is fascinating in a lot of ways. It is passed virtually unchanged from father to son.  It does change a little from generation to generation and it even picks up a bit of mom’s DNA along the way. It just doesn’t change as much as most of our other chromosomes.  A Y Chromosome is 99.97% identical to his fathers.  So the Y Chromosome only loses up 3 one hundredance (.03) of 1 percent a generation, if that much.

For example ES’77, Int. Ch IVES EULENSPIEGEL, SchH III, Gek.b.EzA HD+/- is 10 generations back from Polo.  Polo’s Y Chromosome is 99.67% the same as Ives’s Y Chromosome.

Int./SCHWZ./ÖSTERR./LUX./DT.VDH-Ch., WJS’94, BS’97, BJS’94, Ö-BS’95’96’97, Ö-BJS’94, SCHWZ.KS, FCI-ES’97, RICK VON BURGTHANN, SchH III, IPO III, AD, BH, Gekört, HD-Frei, ED-Frei is 5 generations back from Polo which means that Polo’s Y Chromosome is 99.82 the same as Rick’s

This means that with Polo being a direct male descendant of Ives to Dingo to Santo to Benno on down the line that he is one of the males that can produce pups like they can.  They same the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, so if you liked what Ives, Dingo, Santo, and Benno produced then Polo has a 99.67% chance or better to produce just like they did.  It really isn’t s coincidence that Polo is from a male line that has International Champions going back 10 generations.  Polo is almost a International Champion and if he had won 1 more show he would be one too.

This is really what Muriel Freeman talks about in her book, The Complete Rottweiler and breeding dogs following Bruce Lowe’s Breeding Racehorses theory.  It is all in the genes, and the point I am trying to make is that Polo has the absolute best male genes that I have ever seen in a dog in this country.  Feel free to call me if you want me to explain more in detail, but I hope this helps explain what I mean when I talk about Polo’s Y chromosome.
